Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu manga, or also known as Re:Zero manga for short, is a Japanese manga series adapted from its original light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki. The manga has divided into three separated series with the same writer but different illustrators. Each series has more than 1 volume and published by Media Factory and Square Enix. So, here we go… the detail and review for Re:Zero manga!
Re:Zero Manga Chapter 1
Re:Zero manga chapter 1 with subtitled “A Day in the Capital” is written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Daichi Matsuse. Media Factory published the manga series starting from June 27, 2014 to February 27, 2015, and has 2 volumes so far. Yen Press acts as English publisher, so, it’s available for native English speakers.
Chapter 1 Vol 1
The volume 1 was released on October 23, 2014 by Media Factory and July 26, 2016 by Yen Press for English speakers. The parts are include:
1. And God Said, “Don’t Get Ahead of Yourself”
2. Returning the Lap Pillow’s Favor
3. The End of the Beginning
4. The Bitter Taste of Alcohol
5. A Struggle Far Too Late
If you have read light novel and watched the anime, you will find that the anime adaptation has done a great job. The art of the manga has slightly different, especially in its background. But it’s not bad at all! The illustrator’s drawings are okay, but you will find the different feel between anime and manga.
Overall, the manga will give you more detail and another atmosphere and will be a good stuffs for anyone who loves both Re:Zero light novel and anime.
Chapter 1 Vol 2
The volume 2 was released on March 23, 2015 in Japanese, and October 25, 2016 in English by Yen Press. The parts are include:
6. Ending and Beginning
7. The “Master Swordsman”
8. Negotiations in the Slums
9. Battle in the Loot Cellar
10. The Power of the Master Swordsman
11. Starting Life in Another World
Awesome illustrations and writings as usual. The illustrator could draw the emotional atmosphere and fits the characters well. The manga has 176 pages and it’s really worth for money.
Once again I need to say that this manga would provide you with different feel since the art look different with the anime, but still isn’t bad at all.
Re:Zero manga chapter 2 “A Week at the Mansion” is written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Makoto Fuugetsu and published by Square Enix since October 25, 2014.
