Wanna Be the Strongest in the World Anime Review

Wanna Be the Strongest in the World AnimeWanna Be the Strongest in the World is one other inspiring sports anime, but skillfully disguised as a standard trashy ecchi genre about girls getting close and personal. Honestly, this anime can be a story about breasts. Sentient breasts and butts attached for fan-service. Two pairs of wonderful oppai bounce around in a wrestling ring. one set of breasts gets rankled and gives a dropkick to another pair, triggering a string of wild adventures in the world of wrestling.

This anime is basically an ecchi genre, however you can find good story line and plot with interesting concept. However, it fulls of annoying scenes just like when the characters feel pain in the ring and produced moaning sound. In other word, if you want to find moaning show in every episode, this show is definitely for you!

Hagiwara Sakura is a pop idol and one member of the fictional Japanese idol group Sweet Diva. However, one day, a female wrestler Kazama Rio beats up Miyazawa Elena, a fellow Sweet Diva member and Sakura’s rival. To take a revenge, Sakura is introduced to the Berserk Wrestlers team, of which Rio is a part of. Ultimately, Sakura proves to become a natural athlete with potential and joins the team.

The concept is really good, it’s about friendship, sport and how to become the strongest in the world through wrestling match. However, the execution is awful! There are a lot of scenes that show how the characters feel pain over and over, producing moaning and showing a pair of breasts bouncing around and butt. Well, I won’t blame the series since it was intended for that, because you know why… it’s ecchi genre. In other word, this anime is not for everyone. Although you are into the sport genre but hate ecchi, you must definitely stay away from this anime.

The character designs are cute, but average and standard. There’s no special thing or memorable. The background is decent. But still, there is a trouble. The crotch shots, breast shots along with the clothes in general aren’t really nice to look at. It seems like the artists offered all that only to classify the anime as ecchi which it fails to exactly feel like.

Wanna Be the Strongest in the World Review

Some characters who are introduced that appears to have little objective other than to be filler. Some of them even can make Sakura look slightly better. I feel that it has good character development since basically this anime has good concept to begin with.

Not so good! The background music is not memorable. The opening and ending songs are not for me, too. Even more, you will constantly hear the moaning sound over and over, in every episode while shouting “itai! itai!”. As you know that moaning and word of “itai” have been linked to adult world, and it makes this show a perfect ecchi genre while still hiding their real intention. The good thing is… this anime gives you an opportunity to hear the popular Taketatsu Ayana moaning around the corner from the ring in each episode. Feels like in heaven, huh?

Overall (70/100)

It’s really hard to give this anime a value. Despite this show has good concept and characters development, yet the execution is still awful because of its original genre. Therefore, I would like to recommend this anime to any ecchi lovers, but not sport enthusiast.
