Bleach Anime Review – Substitute Shinigami Unbelongs to Soul Society

Bleach AnimeBleach is among the most three so-called “mainstream shounen anime”, together with One Piece and Naruto. These three anime are hugely popular, and the endless topic of comparison among their fans set out to prove that their favorite is the best out of them. Not only is it interesting to watch but the storyline was fast pace and characters was something that I surely looked forward to. The show is hated by many, but loved by many at the same time. This anime is going to be watched by everyone who explores into the anime world.

Bleach can be described as action, adventure and supernatural series that sets in alternate world. The main protagonist Kurosaki Ichigo turns into a substitute Shinigami after Kuchiki Rukia, a female Shinigami from soul society lend him supernatural power in order to save his family from monster called Hollow. From this point, Ichigo who has huge spiritual pressure called “Reiatsu” also makes his other friends possess spiritual power.

The main plot begins when Rukia is arrested for lending her power to mere humans. Ichigo and his friends who also possessing supernatural power decided to rescue Rukia in Soul Society from death penalty.

Bleach Anime Review

Synopsis: Kurosaki Ichigo who always been able to see spirits and ghosts, but this power does not change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with a female shinigami Kuchi Rukia who member of mysterious Soul Society. While battling a Hollow, an evil spirit that devours humans’ soul who display psychic energy, Rukia tries to lend Ichigo some of her powers in order that he can save his family. However, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy.

Now a full-fledged shinigami himself, Ichigo rapidly finds out that the world he lives is one filled with dangerous spirits and along with Rukia, who slowly regaining her powers back, it is Ichigo’s job to defend the innocent from Hollows and help the spirits themselves find peace.

Storyline: Bleach can be a fantastic story at times but can also dull at others. The concept looks like pretty basic, there’s the Shinigami, empowered souls who lead departed human souls to Soul Society, the afterlife dimension that seem formed after a Feudal Japan. They also battle Hollows, evil and dangerous spirits, to protect living humans and souls as well. The story is really straight forward, know the enemies, beat up them, fight a lot of people along the way. So far, this show can be described as action anime with wonderful story, nothing more.

Artwork: The art is pretty good for the most parts, and I love the coloring in several arcs. Most of the battle scenes are animated really smoothly with numerous scenes and angles. Character design is also wonderful. Overall, bleach has fantastic background, excellent characters, and great animation.

Bleach Artwork

Character: This anime comes with a ton of characters, some of them developed pretty well, otherwise terribly. But it’s the huge cast of such unique and commonly admirable individuals that would make this anime so interesting. Some character can be extremely well developed and appealing while others exist for the main purpose of showing off their 0ppa1. Well, even though a fairly predictable main character who once again is the only person who can beat everyone, there are several great secondary main characters who have even more detail than Ichigo.

Sound: I think this is one of the show strongest aspects. The OST certainly intensify the fights and make even the littlest things seem so cool which the soundtrack can be a vital and required element. Bleach comes with several sound tracks that they reuse and are perfectly matched up with the mood of the scenes.

Overall: 9/10 – It is a very good anime, many people like it. All in all this can be a show worth watching. If you love action then this can be the show for you!
