New Cardcaptor Sakura Anime Film Announced! “Sakura and the Two Bears”

The sweet and lovely Sakura is back as Kodansha comic has announced that the new Cardcaptor Sakura will be premiered soon. The new movie titled “Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc Prologue: Sakura and the Two Bears” is going to be premiering on July 1st this year at Anime Expo. The producer of the anime, Chiyo Kawazoe is going to be presenting the new series and holding a Q&A and special giveaways.

The official website for the film has started streaming a promo video for the upcoming series which featuring new Junko Iwao’s song “The Promised Sky”. It also announced that the new film will be the prologue to the new series coming next year, and it seems that is the continuation of the Sakura Arc from the original series.

Cardcaptor Sakura series centers around the ten-year-old Sakura who lives a pretty normal life with her older brother, Toya, and widowed father, Fujitaka. Until the day she returned home from school to find a shining book in her father’s study. Right after opening the book and releasing the cards inside, Sakura is tasked with gathering each of these magical cards, while trying to live as a normal 4th grader life. In the amazing task of capturing all the cards, Sakura ought to rely on her friends and family, and decide what she finds most crucial in life.
