Mobile Game 'Fate/Grand Order' Gets Anime AdaptationIn the streaming website event Nico Nico Douga, it was announced that a mobile game Fate/Grand Order will get anime adaptation.

According to a press release, Hitoshi Nanba is directing the anime at the studio Lay-duce and Takashi Takeuchi is working on character design. The opening song is using the game’s opening theme, Shikisai, performed by Maaya Sakamoto.

Fate/Grand Order is a mobile game that tell about world in 2015 where researchers are developing technology that mix science and magic. One organization called Caldea is a technology development base where Shiva exists. Caldea is an organization whose in charge to maintain the survival of mankind. Using its creation device, Caldea able to investigate the various histories in the past.

In its investigation, Caldea found that the path of human history affects on annihilation in 2016. In order to prevent it, Caldea appoint new Masters candidate who will call Servants with Fate system to undergo 7 mission known as the Grand Order of Holy Grail. The Fate/Grand Order mobile game has been released for the iOS and Android platform.

The anime series will be aired on December 31, 2016 in Japan.
