Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception for PlayStation 4

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception can be a great story that will attract the hearts and minds of player as takes them on an amazing adventure. The tale begins with an amnesiac man, Haku, who’s rescued by a woman with beast-like ears and tail, Kuon. With a gorgeous visual novel story experience, Haku and Kuon will encounter a cast of interesting and colorful characters in the stunning empire of Yamato. But the difficulty is preparing on the horizon, and the pair will find they have to join forces with their friends to battle to survive from the massive enemies and dark conspiracies alike in this amazing journey.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deceptions’ music breathes life into the world and the story is told in its powerful, original Japanese seiyuu complete with English subtitles. Together with its VN portions, it features fast-paced SRPG battle that shows unique combat system, like ZOC, elemental weaknesses, precision-timed Attack Chain mechanics as well as Final strike.

The Utawarerumono series carries a long history, starting as a visual novel in Japan. Sticking true to its sources, Mask of Deception can be a visual novel strategy RPG hybrid. As an amnesiac character, you have to find out the truths of the world you find yourself in, as well as hints to your identity. Along the way, you will encounter friends and enemies, and make choices on who to trust and what to do.

Utawarerumono can be a wealthy, lively world with complex hand-drawn artwork, many hours of gameplay and a large number of characters to become familiar with. If you never played a visual novel before, this game is a wonderful place to start.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth for PlayStation 4

The impressive tale of Utawarerumono wraps up in Mask of Truth, as the destiny of the world is going to be driven by warring nations. The game features fascinating SRPG battles, a vibrant character of new and familiar faces that will determine the destiny of their world, a rousing original soundtrack, and the remarkable conclusion to the adventure of Haku. After the events of Mask of Deception, Haku is destined to rally the nation of Ennakamuy to combat the evil forces that now control the Yamato throne. Together with everything on the line, Haku and his friends need to do everything in their power to make sure that the future of Yamato triumphs over the true evil that lurks in the depth of the darkness.

This can be a second part of the second arc. It goes Utawarerumono in 2002, Mask of Deception, and Mask of Truth. The false faces anime, in fact, came out a month after Mask of Deception, so they had been most likely being worked at the same time but the game arrived on the first. The main character is different in these two arcs, Hakuoro in the first and Haku in the second.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is a direct sequel to Mask of Deception, so make sure to play that first. Mask of Truth improves upon its predecessor in lots of ways. The tale is longer, much better, and much more well-paced. The tactical RPG battle system is better balanced, though still somewhat easy. Despite being considerably simple, the characters have an excellent number of play styles and the moves in many cases are really flavorful, so I never discovered it to be boring. There are also more side modes to play through.

This game is mainly a visual novel, and facet of the game is great. The 2D artwork is fantastic, the characters start to seem like family, the setting tantalizes the imagination, and the story is an interesting epic. I wish they will make much more games similar to this.
